Who we are

Altrua Foundation is a community-run organization. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and how we use it.

What we collect

Depending on how you use the site, we may collect: your name, email address, and phone number (when you RSVP, buy tickets, donate, contact us, or create a member account); your guest count, attendance preferences, and dietary notes (RSVP); donation amounts and optional dedication messages; and photo links members choose to share in the festival albums.

Payments

Ticket and donation payments are processed by PayPal. Your card or PayPal account details are entered directly with PayPal and never touch or get stored on our servers. We keep only the payment amount, status, and a receipt number for our records and your tax receipt. PayPal's own privacy policy governs the payment step.

Performance recordings & social media

Cultural performance registration requires explicit consent to audio/video recording and to the publication of photos and recordings on our social media channels and website. For performers under 18, the registering adult confirms they are the parent/guardian or have permission. If you later want a specific photo or recording taken down, contact us and we will remove it from channels we control.

How we use your information

We use your information to confirm your RSVP, deliver tickets and receipts, plan food and seating for the festival, respond to your messages, send festival updates if you joined our newsletter, and maintain your member account. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing.

Emails

We send transactional emails (confirmations and receipts) related to your activity. If you joined our newsletter, you may receive occasional festival and community updates; you can ask to be removed at any time using the contact details below.

How long we keep it

We keep RSVP and order records for the current festival season and as long as needed for our financial records (donation records are retained as required for accounting purposes). Member accounts remain until you ask us to delete them.

Security

The site uses HTTPS encryption, member passwords are stored only in hashed form, and access to submitted information is restricted to festival organizers.

Your choices

You may request a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (subject to records we must keep for tax and accounting purposes). Contact us using the details below and we will respond promptly.

Children

This website is intended for use by adults. Parents and guardians RSVP and purchase tickets on behalf of their families.
